October allocations on M cars/suvs look terrible

Each dealer is getting 0-2 per model so expect MSRP or ADM for the near future

My crystal ball says another 12 months of this

Thanks for sharing. My dealer gave me 2500 off each of the two cars I am buying but now it is a matter of actually getting them built. Have jumped around quite a bit and my M5 no longer has a build date. I would agree with your crystal ball but would not be surprised to see it go on longer to be honest. Originally the shipping madness world wide was suppose to clear up by the end of Q1 this year and it is far worse now then it was then.

My dealer said that BMW cancelled 8000 allocations (not yet in production) across the board, across the range of models.

Is there any truth to this? Have you heard the same?

None of my dealer contacts have said something like that but could be true.

What is the current MF on an M5 supposed to be?

I thought it was .00093, but my dealer keeps insisting that it was that in September but is now .00096

Ok good to know I'm not being taken advantage of.

A local dealer had a 2021 that was stuck at port for a few weeks, and recently arrived on the lot. Same day, we struck a deal for MSRP on the car +$13K positive equity trading my X3M.

About an hour after I paid the deposit and e-signed some paperwork, I get a call that unbeknownst to my CA the dealerships owner had already struck a deal on that car for a friend. To make up for it they are honoring the same deal, but on a 2022 build that should go into production in the next 10-14 days.

This is consistent w what my CA advised as well (since our initial deal had to be re-upped due to the amount of time that has passed).

While I hate paying more interest, in my case, it only impacted the lease payment by like 7 dollars so it's a non-issue.

If you are going to pay that much for a 550, why not pay a little more and get an M5?

When I was shopping for my M5C back in the beginning of September- BMW seemed hell bent on me using their finance rather than leasing. They weren't budging on a lease price around $1650-1700 on $120k msrp. They really wanted me to buy for whatever reason. I caved because of the .9% and their select financing program. Seemed like a no brainer.

IDK what your tax rate is or if you are doing 10k/36mo or if you have loyalty

but that is an exceptional deal as it is close to invoice

Your MSDs would be $8400 so not sure where $8300 came from

Thank you so much for your reply and yes, I’m sorry, it was $8400 MSD and $1150 drive off.
Tax rate I believe was 9.5%,
12k/36 months
$1250 loyalty

This gives me some relief, you’re a real valuable asset here.

Calculator Link

I see about a 7% dealer discount before $500 rebate and $750 loyalty
This is a great deal on a remaining 2021

Thank you for the kind words!

Hi! Thanks for all the insight! Slightly different area: Looks like my lease end on my 2019 M5 (36 months) is coming up at 57k. I think the kbb value is now mid 70k. Any reason I’m not thinking of in buying at lease end? Thanks!
