It looks like most of the people who went into production this past week are flying through the steps, some already passed quality check and are just awaiting carrier assignment! Once the QC and everything is all good to go it seems like transport can take a week from what I’ve heard.

I’ve believe the NY/NJ area gets them via truck from SC. Some folks said only 2 days in transport to NJ! Maybe I’m too eager but I’m hoping to get mine by the end of April! Any other members in here with experience can chime in maybe, does that seem like a reasonable timeline?

I know that I'm just being anxious here.....
I see that people with Week 16 builds are moving from status 112 to 150. I'm still at 112. Curious if there are others still waiting to move to 150?? I hope to see status change early this week.

Really wish Australia had access to the F12 process. I'm getting nil advice on the build status. Apparently it is 'made' and awaiting paint (for 3 weeks). Paint must take a while to dry!

Like I said before, what your dealer told you is complete nonsense. They are painted prior to assembly. Likely what is happening is your dealer doesn't understand the status and it went into Production Begins which means a VIN has been assigned and parts ordered/allocated, not that it is being assembled.

In reality though, yours has been completed and is in the process of shipping since you have a MY24. Those have all been completed and MY25 has begun.

Me too! I was previously at Wk 15 and was getting nervous, but now at Status 150 and a production date of 4/16 ready for PCD on 5/10.

Recvd my vin today, this morning genius told me that my week 16 would start actual production week of 4/23 , perhaps her data was old in the morning

Week 16 would be the week prior starting 4/15 so that seems a little late. Now that you have a VIN you can check your exact scheduled assembly date using TurtleBoy f12 process. That way you can find out if what genius said is accurate or not

Scheduled for week 16 production, and finally got my VIN today! 4/17 production date! WooHoo! I thought it might be delayed given how other weeks have had their VINs for much longer than a week in advance.

My FiL's x40i does not yet have its VIN (another week 16), and his is Ametrine Metallic like mine, but I expect that his will show up shortly given how mine just appeared this afternoon.

I get an error when trying to add my hot-off-the-presses VIN to the MyBMW app. Have others also experienced a delay between receiving the VIN via F12 and being able to add the VIN to the app?

I did not use the F12 method to get my VIN -- it replaced the build number on my garage. But I get an error when trying to use the VIN to add the car to the MyBMW app.

the last i checked i am scheduled for week 16 as well (brooklyn grey x6 40i). i believe the date was for 4/17. im still showing up as scheduled for production as of this morning with no vin. hope this changes soon!

The production line is mixed with models, trims, colors, countries, etc. They just build them as they come down the line.
