which pads from isweep did you get? How would you compare the performance vs stock? Is the dust substantially less or about the same as OE?

The IS1500, same stopping power as stock , 0 brake noise , maybe 10% brake dust if that. I personally can't even tell I have brake dust anymore

Have you done a lot of sprinted driving, i.e., canyon type of run? Do they tend to fade a lot when hot? How is this performance in comparison to stock? This is my main concern. As they have IS1500-2000 as well.

Thank for your input btw!

So I live in NYC we don't have canyons to run unfortunately lol but I do a lot of spirited highway driving which does require braking at abrupt timings , yes the brakes are perfect. They're same as stock literally same bite. I would personally get the IS1500 if you're doing mostly city driving and not track driving because you will eliminate the brake dust and brake noise. However if you're doing track driving etc maybe get the IS2000 but keep in mind you will have brake dust and noise with the 2000's

I do NOT track my car but I do like to go on sprinted runs with other M cars. I really appreciate your feedback

That's just sad to admit. Really really sad.

Spirited driving like canyon run, I do recommend IS2000.
It is my personal favorite over IS1500.
It still less dust than stock, and no squeal.
It is not track pad, it will fade after 2-3 laps on the track. I've test it.

Seeing as I will be installing metal rotors on my CS soon before I wear out the CCB's...

Do you have a suitable track pad for the M5?

I am interested. MX-72 is a hybrid pad. RacingBrake is good but fades a little. Stock is similar. Hawk makes jack schitt for the M5. My experience with EBC left A LITTLE to be desired in the past. I don't feel like badgering Carbotech into putting a compound on a backing plate.

What you got, and how much?

You have a lot of experience with pads on this forum. VERY VERY curious to hear your findings. Please report back.

And why are you removing CCB for Steel's on the CS?

VERY VERY GOOD INSIGHT HERE! Appreciate this tremendously.
would you say that IS1500 is equal stopping power as stock?

And when you say it will fade after 2-3 laps on the track, are you referring to 1500 or 2000.

IS2000.

IS1500 is same stopping power as stock on the road.

The wear indicators are already looking jankity. That's after 8 track days (four events). They're not toast yet.

But $4200 per rotor? PER ROTOR?

That's not going work long term. $400 BMW metal rotors are just fine for track work. There's no way I'll murder $4200 rotors every other year.

Can you use the same calipers for steel rotors and pads for steel rotors?
