Pics of your interior trims?
Trying to decide which trim to choose for my black interior. Leaning to the lighter of the two aluminum structure trims, but haven't seen good pictures of these. Thanks for any pictures you can post!

2019 donington on black. I went with full black merino X3SW with the Alumin carbon trim with dark chrome highlight 4WM as my trim choice - I feel it picks up the light grey of the contrast stitching, my exterior which is donington grey, and the brush of the b+w speakers/tweeters for a unified look. The dark chrome highlight blends the trim nicely then into the dark leather. Your trim will be all about your leather colour and exterior as they drive the contrast options. I just about went Tartufo which would have made me go in a complete other direction. You really have to see your selection in person (leather and trim). Ya I know it’s not carbon fibre but it looks good to me which is what counts.

I wish there were more trim options. I saw the dark aluminum trim with Turtufo and it by no means looks bad. In fact given the limited choices this may be my choice. I have to say the trim aluminum trim looks like a sticker / laminate of some kind. BMW should offer more trim options.

I went through the exact same process as you it seems. Initially I was going light trim then when I saw it in person it looked too light with black leather - I hesitated - hunted down a dark trim interior to look at, two hour drive away and once I saw it in person I switched to the dark and very happy with my choice.

Honestly neither look great. It's a shame they didn't offer CF trim. Of the two the dark looks better

Can anybody tell me whether this is the “dark” or “light” CF trim? The sticker says it is the dark, but it looks like the light to me?

It’s the dark. Easiest way to tell is to look at the metallic surround edging the trim. If it’s black chrome like this, then dark trim. The light trim has more of a bead blasted aluminum look.
See this post for comparison. |

You bet. The shading on the textured portion of the trim is really stupidly similar between light and dark to the point that difference f-stops in camera shots can make them look like the other. That's why I only look at the surround element bc of the additional texture clue!
BTW nice interior if that's going to be your car... same combo as mine |

I love Tanzanite! I was torn between that, Aventurin Red, and MBB. In the end I chose MBB because I wanted something that would be obnoxiously vibrant given I let go of my track prepped C7 Grand Sport to consolidate down to a one car garage for now. I also couldn't wait the extra production time for even a pseudo-Individual color like Tanzanite. Aventurin was going to be even longer!

Haha that's funny! Swap cars? Jk
What's the rest of your spec? I got every option other than CCBs, plus MPE, MP side skirts and Pro spoiler, and am adding a Vorsteiner front lip as soon as I take delivery. |

Tanzanite over full Aragon, Competition, Exec, Parking, B&W, 789M wheels (I had originally wanted the black wheels, but these look good so I am happy with them), red calipers, and I paid to have the Pro spoiler added before delivery.

I was right! Very similar cars! Blue calipers here but same option spec as yours. Really excited to hear the B&W. Or the MPE. Will be a tossup hahaha.
