Aftermarket rim question

Hi Folks, just ordered my 21' M5C. I'm looking at 20x9.5 front and 20x11.5 BBS rims. Should these fit without issue meaning rubbing during compression and so on. Thanks!

They should fit depending on tire size and if you are putting on spacers or not. A good car customization shop would be able to tell you the fitment.

Hit up Justin at Auto Talent in California. He's awesome and will probably beat any prices you have now and can ship them to you. Justin.AutoTalent

If you follow the recommended specs, you will have no problem.

I am about to order a set for my local customer. So I recently done a lot of research on it.

You will be fine if you don't lower. If you lower, you have to be careful in certain areas because it will rub

That's what I feared... My plan was to mount the new combo and then decide if i wanted a modest drop..

FWIW, I'm on 21x10 and 21x11 on 275/295 tires and lowered on HR 550 springs with zero rubbing. Wheels are bespoke so not an apples to apples comparison but a good point of reference.

The 550 pics I’ve seen look like what I’m after, I’m not sure it’s worth the expense going with K&W HAS when that’s the case.

Originally went with KW HAS and removed them in favor of the HR 550 .. much cheaper as well.

Looks amazing. Why did you end up switching out kw's for 550 springs? And how are you finding the difference in the ride quality?

TY!

Switched them out primarily due to the fact I could not get the fronts as low as I wanted to make the drop symmetrical all around. Also, the ride was on the harsh side with quite a bit of rebound based on the settings I was running.

I'm pleased with the improved ride quality on the H&R 550's and they actually feel better than the OEM Comp springs (19' M5C). The stance is also perfect IMO, or at least in terms of what I like which is minimal wheel gap.

Hope this helps.

PM me I can send more pics or answer any questions you may have.

Do you notice a bouncier ride when going over bumps or is it just me?
