Apparently there's a new software update that removes the pops and burbles for us in NA too as mentioned by someone of the Facebook group, how accurate that is idk, but just wanted to put it out there in case it is true.
Edit: he got em back so the software didn't take em away |

I’ve had this pop up in the last few days. Do you know if this is the version you’re talking about, or is it even newer than this?

Newer than that apparently, someone has that one and they didn't notice any differences. So the .53 seems safe. Trying to find out what version the other guy is on.

I've been on .20 since factory and currently the app doesn't show .53 for me yet. When I hooked my car up to ISTA a few weeks ago it wanted to update my integration level but that seemed like a bad idea to DIY.
As for pops and burbles, I only really get them in Sport+ engine and S3 with ASD button on and below ~45mph. Any other config they are rare or don't happen. I wonder if that is all that person is noticing. I wish they would happen in S2 or D1 since I don't always want the DCT-like shifts. |

I used to get them in D2/3 all the time. SW update by dealer back in February turned them down a bit. Still get them but definitely have to make them happen in D. Never really found a use for the paddles in street driving.

I don’t think it’s true. I updated to this version a few weeks ago when it first came out and my OEM exhaust still snaps, crackles and pops the same. Nice and loud 😁

Just did the update 03/2023.67 and now my pops and burbles are gone. Not sure how people are getting the pops and burbles back. If there is a trick I would like to know it. Otherwise, this update really pisses me off.

Make sure your exhaust button is pressed (lit up) next to the shifter, and re-check your M button settings. I believe mine reset with the latest update.

I could have updated my software with ISTA but I don't want to risk anything getting jacked up. It seems increasingly rare these days where any software update makes things better.
I'm ok with paying $30 for access. They actually responded to my support questions and helped me get it up and running. At least they make it available and don't charge $1000s. It would be nice for a permanent free free version but Windoze updates will pretty much ensure eventually it won't work and they need will need to update it. This is still way better than 10 years ago using hacked software to code the injectors on my wife's E90 N54. Took 3 hours fing around with the kludgy software after spending only 1 hour to actually remove and replace the injectors. |
