AWE Exhaust Rattle

While I love my AWE exhaust, I do not love the rattle that is coming from it. When the car starts there is a rattle as well as any time the car drops to 1500 RPM. I had the car up on a lift and realized the sound is present when the car is off as well if you tap the exhaust. Nothing is rubbing against any heat shields or cross braces, this has all been crossed off. The noise sounds like it is inside the exhaust around the valve area. Any ideas?

I have the same rattle you describe on my Akra. It sounds like a rattling heat shield for about the first 10 seconds of a cold start and then goes away.

Yeah something like that except no rubbing or touching anything. I'll see if I could send a video or post one. Quite embarrassing and sounds cheap lol.

Sounds like a valve has come loose somehow try to get inside the pipe to check if it's loose.
The valve itself is held by three allen skrews check if those are loose.

The last section should be easy to unclamp if you want check it out more throughout.

well, all Exhausts run $6k to $10k for this car , and you bought the cheapest by far at $2500 .. so what did you expect? perfect fitment and everything?
That's not how it works

Lmao, love the condescending reply that adds nothing to the discussion. It ended up not being the valves or anything with the exhaust. It was a spacer on one of the clamps and the rattle is gone. FYI, a buddy who had an Akra exhaust had valve rattle.. same thing with FI. AWE, not the case. Enjoy!

Incoming "don't buy a shit exhaust" from bozo-bimmerbeast9 but, I would get the car on a lift. Bang on it a couple times and try and pinpoint exactly where the sound is coming from. I really thought it was valves but you don't have those so it can't be that. Can you post a video and we can try to help diagnose?

Ill try to get a video. Its on cold starts its horrible (i have no primary or secondary cats) and once idle drops its fine. I do hear it on occasion in lower RPMs under 2k, driving.
