Weight of M Performance 335i Edition

I ws just wonderring if any of you guys know if the 335i m performance edition is lighter than regular 335i. I am guessing that the exhaust and forged wheels should shave off a few lbs, however wondering if any of you had more info.

2015 BMW M3  [6.50]
If anything, the 20" wheels (forged or not) are likely heavier, due to their larger size and thus more metal. The M-Performance exhaust is probably a little lighter, but not that much. Overall, I'd say there's no significant difference in weight.

^^^^^agreed.

It's minimal....OP: now dump the oem battery and rear seats, and then you'll even out the 52:48 AND have weight reductions to boot!

No the M405 20" wheels are in fact lighter than the 19" wheels

to the tune of around 2 and a bit pounds each IIRC.

After reading a few post i beleive the m performance should be slightly lighter by about 75 lbs.

M performance brakes saving is about 40lbs, wheels saving is about 25lbs, exhaust weight saving is between 10lbs to 15lbs

It saves some weight here and there, but also has some bolt ons like the front lip etc. In other words, no substantial weight savings, not enough to affect performance.

Where did u get data on brakes, that sounds about double? Wheels I would have guessed to be 3 to 4 lbs with a savings of 1 to 2 lbs for tires each so between 16 and 24 lb savings, another 1 lb shed each tire if using non RFT.

Exhaust I thought was a 7lb saving since it's only muffler back.

My sources and math equate to 50lb at very most, but if going after marget one could reach 75lb.

Bolt ons practically don't weight nothing...

I forgot to add the power gains from the m performance decals
