50k probably on the low end but they will end up in the 55k range after 3 years. look at the 2013 f10 m5 after 3 years. once the LCI refresh hits they depreciate even further.

My 2015 M5 is back on the dealer lot for $60k with the original MSRP for $117k. The residual value after my lease was up was pegged at $71k lol. These cars do not depreciate well. Anything else is wishful thinking.

nice to scoop one when theyre in that 40-50k range. they stick around there for a while. you could drive one for 2 or 3 years and sell it for pre close to what you got it for. might be pushinf it a tad bit youll most likely lose like 4k. best thibg for these types of cars used is like 30k range at that point theres like littlw to no loss but by then its too old of a car for some people.

The new M5 is surely capable - but as I wrote on another post - you cannot hide heft and size. 4300+ lbs beats your tires and brakes to the point that it is a continuous scream.

The M5 is a luxury GT car first - highly capable - but not a track focused car.

Random thoughts from driving yesterday....

-Car is stiff yet so smooth at the same time. Unbelievable. There's no harshness at all.

-Pumped in exhaust noise is much lower than F10.

-I have the standard exhaust and it's pretty quiet even with valves opened. I need to upgrade it to either factory M sport or aftermarket

I've been working with United BMW to order one and was just there today as I was trying to take a look at the car before placing the order. They mentioned it took then 2 hours to sell the only M5 they received so far and looks like you are the lucky owner. Congrats
