Acexxon honeycomb rear reflectors install

Hi Everyone!

I just got my Acexxon honeycomb rear reflector delete (thanks Ben@RG Sport) and I was wondering... Do I need to remove the rear diffuser to install or could I just reach under and unclip them? I haven't tried feeling around yet, but thought I would check here first to see if anyone has done it without removing the diffuser.

Thanks!
O

I did mine yesterday too! It was harder getting my hand in the right position than anything. Finally figured out sitting behind the car and giving it a good reach around was the best bet!

Will they want the factory ones put back in before "end of lease" turn in?

It depends on the dealer you return it. There is a pre return inspection you can do up to 90 days out and they will tell you then what you need to 'fix.' I suspect most won't care.

I would be willing to bet that most dealers won't even recognize that you replaced them.

Now with that being said... I thew mine the in a box for safekeeping just in case.

I've been thinking about getting these but there are two options, gloss and matte. I would assume that matte would be the correct color to match the rest of the black plastic pieces on the car. Does anyone know?

Just installed these on my ride. The left side reflector was very easy to remove, it just popped right out once I got my hand behind it to squeeze those damn tabs, but the right side was a real b1tch! I don't know why it is but anytime I do anything like this where I replace something in pairs, the first one is always easy and the second one always makes me pull my hair out it's such a pain in the ass. But anyway... the end result is very nice. The honeycomb design adds a nice touch.

lemme get this straight

you removed a reflector (Made in Germany) designed for the vehicle so that the vehicle will be visible when its parked.....and replaced it with a fake vent that was made in china ???

I just want to be sure...
