I have come upon a 458 Speciale in the road once. I could not control myself, and gave in to the temptation of challenging the driver in the 458. Eventually he succumbed and mashed the throttle. Needless to say my stock + Akrap M5 F90 was crushed. LOL.

Another time I lost pretty badly was with a 2019 991.2 Turbo S. Wasn't aware they were so much faster. In fact they are faster than 458 Speciale and Huracan Performante.

People dont buy F cars to beat M5's. I have had 2 and felt it was just an honor of accomplishment and loved the sound and driveability of both my 458 and even the crappy valued FF (the V12 sounds amazing). Doesnt the Superfast trap in the higher 130's (138 or so).

Vic, I read that they run a 10.4 @ 141mph. So, with that trap speed it's obvious everything is after the launch or they would have a lower 1/4 time. My car traps 138/139 so I knew it would be a close race starting at those speeds and I wasn't on MS109 with Map6 plugged in either. Either way it's still a fast car and thing was a beauty.

I still kept one of my Ferraris but it's full Novitech and fast as shit and my M5 would be a close race but I kept it for completely different reasons as you stated. But, you gotta admit. It's not fun when you get beat by a sedan..haha

I have an F car that can give you a good race! It's stock too so it might be close.... oh and it's a hybrid

1. that's a tricky-arsed launch with RWD only
2. how many times have you launched that thing? I'm guessing 3 on the high side

Also, we'll just get you guys to mutually agree upon a 'best M5 result' is the only result challenge. 12 or 13 launches later, your Duracells are nothing but ballast and the M5 has a couple of gallons of race fuel left. Granted, I'm contriving (and I'm wayyy too optimistic but whatever) scenarios here but, hey, we don't get to mess with LaFerrari owners everyday.

You never know. A guy that lived by me when I was in Ohio had one when they came out. It was his daily. Drove it in the rain, salt, everything. Drove the shit out of it!

My money would be on the M5 for a 1/4 mile race on the street. Can't find a video of a LaFerrari doing under a 10.4 on YouTube. One was in the 11s.

The car in tests runs 2.4 to 60 so at worst its probably 2.7 LOL...

Lots of fun here I know. Sylvain is a really good guy just so you know and entirely humble about his garage.

How do you know? Not trying to challenge but what's your knowledge of the La F and a bad launch? This is why I said bad launches will bump up

I knew 2.4 isn't a daily thing. My comment about his humility has nothing to do with other than I know him. Its all good Dean
