Pleasantly surprised for the time at the drag strip with the F90 M5 comp

First let me say Las Vegas doesn’t have the best track in terms of sea level, temperatures (low 90 degrees when I started racing) or DA. I was hoping for mid 11’s here but I got down to 11.266 @125mph. If I could pull off a 1.6 60 foot there might be a good chance I can touch 10’s. Car is a 19 comp pkg with evolution Racewerks secondary catless downpipes only. Car had around a 93-95 octane gas (1/3 a tank of 91oct, and 4 gallons of 100oct) other than that full weight including my 230 lb self. Used launch control every time, but best times were with regular 4WD (NOT 4WD Sport) Time slips, elevation, DA below. I’m more than impressed with the car especially when I was running the same times are some of the modded GTR’s. I’m sure I will get her in the 10’s soon.

Those are GREAT times at Vegas. Vegas is a brutal track like Bristol for DA. My stock F90 non comp went 11.2 at 124mph at similar DA as its best pass. You are already up on mph. Get the sixty down into the low/mid 1.6’s and you’ll be 11.0’s Go to a sea level track and easy 10’a for you. The Comp’a run !

Nicely done! I drove my RS7P to Vegas for a weekend of driving fun with an old friend and the power loss from WA to NV was jaw-dropping so the numbers on those slips are pretty darned amazing.

Can you elaborate as to why full-bore launch control yielded poorer performance--did it bog down repeatedly?

I used launch control on all 4 runs but regular 4WD had faster times than 4WD sport. Maybe because 4WD sport is more rear biased?

Hmmmm, I didn't think you could properly engage Launch Control without 4WD Sport, I'm not 100% on that, though.

Great numbers, regardless!
