IND | 3D Design Carbon Shift Paddle Set

The 3D Design Carbon Shift Paddles are designed to infuse a sleek and lightweight feel right into the driver’s seat, all with a unique carbon fiber weave.

Made with a dry carbon process, every step that goes into making these shift paddles is meticulous to further ensure quality. With a delicate mille-feuille layering process, carbon pre-preg sheets are formed to a 5mm carbon fiber board through careful heating and pressure.

After this, the paddles are machined from the sturdy yet lightweight dry carbon board. This process is similar to aluminum’s process, but since carbon fiber is so strong, extra time is taken to guarantee quality.

To finish off this impressive process, the carbon shifters are painted in a beautiful clear coat that will not only look great, but also block UV in the process. The end results are carbon shifters that are easy to handle, fit perfectly in your hand, and are as stylish as they are efficient.

Installation is fairly straight forward—it mimics pretty much every 3D Design paddle install we've completed so far. You can take a look at some of the reference photos here:

https://www.flickr.com/photos/592410...57668991954547

It essentially requires removal of the OEM steering wheel / airbag to gain access to the stock paddles. Once out, you'll insert the 3D units in their place. Fully plug and play.

Here's a photo of the OEM paddle vs the 3D unit for good measure—huge improvement.

Did you mean painting the color accent areas (that are natively grey or red natively) signal green or the entire paddle?

If it's the latter, I'd probably opt to do so with a set of the aluminum paddles personally so you wouldn't be painting over the gorgeous carbon. I've attached a photo of an aluminum set that we painted before with black upshift / downshift indicators. Let us know!

If it wasn't for the logo, I'd be all over these.

Hi.
Can anyone post a video or very detailed description of how to remove the air bag and centre part of the steering wheel?
I assume as soon as you detach the battery then the airbag can’t go off?
