Wipers

I must be thick because I can't seem to figure out how to stop the wipers fully extended on the windshield so that I can fold them forward off the windshield for cleaning, etc. I've read the manual (in stand by mode, press down on the wiper leaver until the wipers stop at the top) but they just do a full up and down wipe of the windshield (doesn't stop when I release the leave).

What am I doing wrong? Step by step instructions or video would be great, thanks in advance.

The car must be shut down. Either walk to the car open the door and do it or do it after you shut down the engine.

Good luck!

Turn the car off. Open door. Hold wiper stalk up.

Still no luck (although previously I was holding the stalk down). Turning off the engine, opening the drivers door, pressing the wiper stalk up - the wipers do one full wipe of the windshield up then down and that's it. They don't stop at the top so that they can be manually folded down for cleaning / replacement/ etc.

Just keep it pushed down, they will go up and down once or twice and then they will stop up position.

Okay, I'll try ... but do I push the lever up or down or does it matter?

I just tried it this way:

-I unlocked the car
-I kept the leaver down until wipers stopped up position

Excellent, that did it ...

1. Got into the car with the key (so car turns on in standby mode) but you don't turn on the engine

2. Press down the the wiper leaver and hold down, the wipers go up & down twice then on the third time they go up and stop at the top.

3. Press down once again when you want them to return to their normal hidden position

Thank everyone for your help.

Just did this today, i opened the car door, then held the wiper stalk down, it did 2 or 3 wipes then stoped in the middle. Done.
