speaking of video in motion, I’m assuming you’re playing video files from a usb thumb drive? If so, have you found the system to be picky about video formats and file containers?

Anyone know if this type of coding will also void warranty such as ecu tuning?

I wouldn’t think so. The items that I’ve coded (my 550i) are configurable items that iDrive doesn’t expose to the user.

However, they “might” have something to bitch about if disabling seat belt warnings and such.

So far no issues on video formats for me.

No. Because you are not changing anything in the car. Just enabling the hidden features.
VIM may gets you in trouble with Highway Patrol if they see a video running while driving.
So far I haven't heard anyone got ticket, but it is a DOT regulation not to have motion picture in the front seat screen.

I have coded since 2012, and VIM is a must for me since I like to listen live performance and glance to the screen time to time.

Format wise, so far I've done mostly in mp4.

My previous 2 bmws were also coded, so far no issues nor mention on warranty. Should not be an issue unless u code very major things?

Passenger mirror down in reverse is standard feature, what are you trying to code about it?

You can change the tilt angle from 10-100% in 10% increments.

RR Chime won't shows up on the iDrive.
Once you coded it, it will stay there. Not something that you can toggle back and forth between BMW and RR.

Passenger side mirror wise, you can adjust it all angle that you want.
But, I have been coding the side mirror the smallest angle preset that available. I forgot how many degree.

I went with 80% tilt on reverse and that seems about right. The stock angle just seems a bit too severe and does not to show enough curb for me backing up. As to the RR chime, I was just wondering what the RR chime sounded like but not a big enough deal for me to do a permanent change. Thanks Ben.

Hi.. new to forum. Have a F90 and was seeking a way to keep the BMW emblem in the seats illuminated. Is that possible?

There is a thread about this already - atm I don't think it's possible, which is gutting!
