So I took a look and I'll never get my hand in there. I'll have my Indy do it, that's installing my reflector delete kit. However, my car was shut off in sport plus with green button on and the flap remained open. Does it automatically revert to closing on ignition?

I would like to add some optimisation for other guys who will swear on bmw engineers Left panel is very stiff (at least in European version) so I found it impossible to fold and get access to the amp. So i recommend to remove additional pushpin: one at the "roof" of the hood located nearby the "grocery hook". I found it critical to be able to fold the panel. Than you need to disconnect plastic "frame" around trunk hinge. I also removed 2 pushpins located behind rear seat - easy fo find when seat is folded down. |

Did mine today, easy instructions to follow, for those who have not yet done it, after removing the for press studs from the plastic surround the latch, lift it straight up when the boot seal is pealed back as there are 4 clips at the back, lifting straight up will save braking any of them.

Hey guys I noticed on my 19 M5 competition when I drive in sports plus mode with the exhaust button turned on both the ASD sound turns on and the exhaust flap opens up giving out the burble louder exhaust sound.......with the button off it clearly turns the ASD sound off and turns the flap off and reduces the exhaust sound and burbles........so is this a new competition feature? Since theres no need to disconnect the ASD cable nor code it out since its controlled by the button...on another thread 2 other members confirmed this

I'm glad this is an easy fix again. Once I disabled my ASD on my F80 in never looked back. I picked the car up once from a service and they had plugged it back in without telling me (I think it did throw a code on that car) and I thought there was something wrong with the car it got so much louder and more annoying lol.
I would just mention to please leave it unplugged upon service if it comes up just to save yourself the headache of doing it again - you're not doing anything that will void the warranty.

Can anyone confirm if this simple unplugging of the thingie to disable the F90’s ASD will also work the same way on cars equipped with Bowers & Wilkins or does that not make a difference?

How about a video or instructions showing how you did this? Disabling the valve in the open position would be a winner for me, hate starting it up in wimpy mode. Does it have to be on a lift to do this? Thanks. |

Can anyone correctly summarize what the exhaust button does? I'd still like to figure this out...
My theory: Engine Setting / Exhaust Button / ASD / Valves Comfort / Off / Off / Closed Comfort / On / On / Closed Sport / Off / Off / Open Sport / On / On / Open Sport+ / Off / Off / Open Sport+ / On / On / Open

I've been in touch with Technic PNP and BimmerTech. They say there was a change to 2020 models and they're working on the code fix. Hoping there may be someone out there who's already succeeded with this. If yes, please let me know. Thanks! |

For 19’s, below and Bimmercode app gets rid of ASD along with enables a lot of other great codes. Someone else will have to address if 20’s have a change but can’t imagine why they would. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...6WDJ39HA&psc=1 |
