[M5 dude now]

Probably most of us that get an M5 are car enthusiast. I would consider myself one of those people. I get different M car every 3 to 4 years. I have never leased and I now always order my car to get what I want. I pay off my cars early and usually do not have a car payment for a couple of years. That said, I am thinking of leasing this M5 but I just don't like the idea of loosing equity even though it depreciates. Am I missing the boat on this? Is leasing at this price point the way to go? Did most of you lease your M5 or did you buy your M5?

I have been leasing all of mine. I do it through one of my companies and can then write off. You know exactly how much depreciation up front. I also usually do a 2 year lease so it's a little more expensive and it allows about 15k miles per year.

If you replace your car every 3-4 years, then leasing typically makes more financial sense.

I do 3 year leases at 10k miles per year (only drive about 7500 per year). Lease through my company. But, is the residual hasn't normalized for the M5 Comp I might move to something else.
