Squared Setup
I plan to do 4-5 track days a year in my M5C and was looking at tire options. My two favorite track tires are Michelin Cup 2’s and Nitto NT01’s. Neither manufacturer makes a 275/35/20 for front wheels. The 285/35/20 size is available for the rears so i thought about just running a square setup. Has anyone run 285/35/20 on all 4 corners? Would that screw with the transfer case?
My other thought was to buy a set of the Dinan wheels and run their recommended sizes. But Dinan only recommends Toyo Proxes Sport and I prefer a more track focused tire. Any help would be much appreciated. |

Yes, I've been running a square set-up in this size for my winter set. Halfway through my second winter on them an no issues whatsoever.

Yeah I would just run 285 front 295 rear but Michelin doesn’t make a 295/35/20 Sport Cup 2 tire. So that is probably why you had to run the 305. |

Were Cup2s faster and longer lasting than R888?
I got a set of AR1s but maybe after CV will stand a chance to try them
