BMW Steering Wheel Types
What are the actual genuine BMW steering wheel types available for the F90? I understand there’s all kinds of other brands that make them for this model, but is there a place where I can see the actual ones that are authorized and built by BMW to put on this car? Supposedly I’m supposed to be getting an “upgraded” steering wheel with my F90 in a few months. It’s supposed to have LED lights and an RPM gauge at the 12 o’clock position on it but I can’t find anything online about the steering wheel. Maybe my sales guy is full of crap? I don’t know. This is my first M5 F90

This one?
https://www.shopbmwusa.com/PRODUCT/4...STEERING-WHEEL I'm guessing these things are more functional than stylish. Doesn't show as compatible for M5, but maybe that's coming. Best I can tell it's an M3/M4 thing. |

AZA has a lot of nice ones, but I don't recall ever seeing anyone here buying one, their pics look great and all, but it's close to $3.5k or more.
I think they're in Ukraine. Shouldn't the US taxpayers get a discount since we're funding their war i was close to ordering this one with assist, but i ended up getting CF trim pieces and paddles from RW Carbon instead https://azaautowheel.com/product/ste...be-any-colors/ Last edited by NoMods; 01-21-2023 at 08:31 AM.. |

Aza wheels are works of art from what I’ve seen. More than I’d be willing to shell out for a steering wheel, but man are they nice!

If I can afford it, I would shell out the money for anything that has the value. I would just need to make sure there would be absolutely no hiccups whatsoever switching steering wheels. I mean not even the tiniest bit of a headache. It drives the same, the buttons work perfectly, aligned perfectly. The works.

I seem to remember seeing a post on the F90 FB group where a dude in the US had one of the AZA steering wheels installed and it looked absolutely amazing. I am very tempted to order one myself. I get that its a lot of $$ for a steering wheel, but the way I see it I interact more with the steering wheel than any other part of the car. Personally, I want that interaction to have the best look and feel that I can get.

this is for the older models. F10/F80 etc. Plenty of company's make this aftermarket. Although this does not come oem on any car. At best you can order the MP one and the dealer can install. Currently 2 versions for F90. 1) MP version is the leather at the 12 and 6 o'clock with blue stripe and alcantara at the 9 and 3. 2) The CS version which is alcantara all around with a perforated top with red underneath it. a simple google search will show them both.

I think the problem with both of these is that they are both not compatible with DAP. I would have ordered the Mperformance one immediately if it was compatible |

I thought the MP one did but the CS one didn’t. Either way all it takes is a little foam trimming to fit the module.

I really wish it worked. If someone can confirm it’s possible I would definitely grab one. As far as I know and from talking to the manager at my service center who is very well versed it’s not compatible. I’m pretty sure it also says it on the product page if I’m not mistaken I’ll have to double check.
