Steering wheel part identification

Need help identifying the gray part and wire on my steering wheel. I ordered an aftermarket wheel and this piece was not included. The plug connects under the left side buttons. Thanks

Maybe the touch sensor for cruise control?

Probably the touch detection sensor. You can not replace it as it is a sensor under the leather around the wheel. It just means that your new wheel will not have Assisted Driving.
