Does the F90 M5 share the rear drivetrain/control arms with any other bmw models?

Hey,

Hoping someone can tell me if the F90 M5 shares any components of the rear end (suspension arms etc) with any other bmw models?

Mate has one which had an unfortunate meeting with a curb, and it’s bent some of the rear hub assembly.

Thanks in advance.

Why would he or she not replace the damaged parts with the model specific parts?

But that is my question; are those components model specific I.e. only used on the F90 M5, or, are they also used/shared with other non M models? If they are, then you’re technically still buying model specific parts, only they apply to a few models, not just one.
It’s mostly about availability, F90 M5s are quite rare in our country, so we’re hoping some components will also be used on other bmw models.

I’ve seen other M’s written off by insurance companies over similar damage, which we’d like to avoid.

Cheers

RealOEM.com is the site that I typically use to find P/Ns. It also provides a reference to all applications for the part.

even if it shared parts, the part numbers would be the same and availability would relate. But usually M's use different parts when it comes to suspension related items.
Also, the Comp has different parts than even the Base M5.
