440 rims/tires on 540?
I am wondering if my winter tires and rims from my 440 would fit a 540 at all? If not, what size of winter tires do I need to get for a 540 that comes with OEM 20" rims? Thanks guys.

My 19" 440 rims are 8.5 width at the front and 9.5 at the back. They are wrapped in 255 square setup tires all around. Not sure if this would work on the 540 or not?

Haha yes as much fun having a new set of shoes is..the fact that you gotta fork up $ for that is not as much fun...plus the selling of your old set.

Would a square setup of 255/40RF/20 97v Runflats fit the OEM 20" rims? The tires are Bridgestone Blizzaks. or 255/35R20. Not sure what the difference really is to be honest...just checking my local classifieds. What is the width of the OEM 20" rims? Last edited by ksa; 12-13-2017 at 10:52 PM.. |

255/40/20 would mess with the speedo just a bit The OEM 20" are 8" front, 9" rear 245/35/20 should work ok fron and back without a problem but original is 245/35/20 in front and 275/30/20 in the rear, I would follow that ☺ |

If the front rim is 8" then wouldn't the 255 tire be too wide for it anyway? In that case wouldn't the widest possible option up front be 245? I can't find any 245/35/20 in my local classifieds anywhere. The closest I get is 245/ 45 r 20s which you're suggesting won't really work anyway? Last edited by ksa; 12-14-2017 at 02:00 AM.. |

Strange that you can't find 245/35/20`? Have you tried different vendors? 245/45/20 -> The height, "45" will mess with the speedo EBAY Link This is the BMW choice of brand/tire for G30 |

Thank you.
So since a square setup of 245/35/20 would fit all 4 stock 20" rims, then these tires that are for sale in my local classifieds should work? https://www.kijiji.ca/v-tires-rims/c...ationFlag=true The only issue is when I search for them online they keep coming us light truck/SUV tires. But does that matter if the size is what I need for the 540? Help please. Thanks. |

But the most important thing to note is that they are all year tires, for summer and winter. The fact that they are designed for SUV's is what is throwing me off? Like what makes them designed for SUV and not car if the size is exactly what I need? I guess what I am wondering is if I install these are there going to be any issues at all for running them. |
