Fantastic trip, amazing photos and wonderful write up. Thank you so much for sharing. One of the first thoughts in my mind was "how did he keep his car clean for this whole trip?!?" LOL. Cheers!!

This reminds me of a similar 3200 mile trip I did few months ago going from from Utah to Florida. I hit up some of the same spots as well while going thru Utah and Arizona... Bryce Canyon, Horseshoe Bend at Page, North Rim. The views were breathtaking and you did a good job photographing as much of it as you could although it is much more incredible seeing it in person. The drive was amazing in the M5..comfortable enough to cruise long distances, capable enough to handle the winding roads through the hills and valleys and powerful enough to let the beast out when on those empty roads.
I wish I had more time on that trip. I hope to make it back again one day. Thanks for sharing! |

Wonderful! Nice share but my takeaway is "but I only held it for 5 seconds", lol. Can't imagine piloting a 1993 Mazda at the same rate of speed as an F90 without an adult diaper.
Set my PLSR with a 2009 Mazdaspeed3. Love Mazda! |

And, my Mazda tires were 205/55 15's. Idiot. And it only weighed 2,775 lbs. |

I think I washed it 3 times. Ceramic Pro on Donington is a great combination. It can be very dirty up close, but looks clean and shiny from beyond 5 feet. Mostly bugs up front and some dust. Never rained once.

Fantastic trip, and write up. We love to do the same thing around Scotland, a few times a year, but with obviously less miles. How did the bodywork hold up, with all the stoney terrain, mostly the bottom of the doors and front wings ?. Found both my M5s suffered from road/gravelrash, so i became very wary of it.

Bodywork held up fine - at least as far as I could see. I really don't worry about the parts you can't see so much. And I only stay on paved roads. For the most part, US roads are pretty good. Even in the boondocks. |

Thx. Wow....nice trip coming up. You won't be sorry. Take lots of pics and write a thread titled "Epic 5,000 Mile Trip in an Awesome Car." Put more car pics in, tho.
