M Performance Spoiler - Not PRO

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Is the M Performance Spoiler, not the PRO, exactly the same size as the standard, body painted one, just in CF?

Considering it for my new build to replace my 2018 f90 lease that is up in May.

So far, I'm leaning toward the classic Oxford Green over Caramel/Black, Comp and Exec, Y spokes.

Not sure I want to add CF to an already dark car, with a more luxury color combo, than aggression, but considering the M Performance Titanium Exhaust, and thought the basic spoiler in CF would be a little accent to the exhaust tips and plain CF license frame I run on all my cars.

Also, what color calipers to compliment the dark green?
I'm thinking standard blue or the red would stand out too much.
Probably black.

Thanks.

Personally I wouldn't get the non-Pro spoiler in CF; I think it's a waste of money for the thin strip you get. If you want the CF accent to match the exhaust, I'd go with the Pro, otherwise I'd just stick with the body paint. I have the pro on my Black M5C and love the CF on the dark color. I also don't find it to be that aggressive of a profile relative to the shape of the car (in case that's your reservation).

Black calipers if you want to avoid the pop. Ideally on the green, you'd get the gold calipers, but that's more than just looks.

Regardless of what you choose, it sounds like you're going to end up with a beauty!

My current 2018 f90 was pretty basic spec order, and I usually lease these cars, and track them, but I have a dedicated track car now, and am only considering all these extras because I would consider buying out the lease at the end of the term if the car is problem free up to that point. Otherwise, I'd just walk.

I'd consider the CCB, but my steel brakes now have held up really well on time and track, and were relatively cheap to replace rotors and pads after a year and a half of road use and two track events.

Thanks

I too would vote for the carbon pro spoiler...especially with the M Performance exhaust, it's a nice match up.

For the brake calipers, yeah probably the black works best, or the CCB gold of course.

Sounds like a nice build! I do like the Oxford Green...

One of my first cars back in the day was a 1996 Corvette Polo Green, haha...really sharp color.

The standard cf spoiler is pointless and not worth a penny over the non cf. especially on a dark car. Why they even added it is beyond me. The pro in cf will stand out very nice. And as far as calipers red on green is always a good choice. Blue would look a bit off to me but still works!

There's a thread of a guy in Hawaii with one decked out in CF. She's one of the best M5s on here.

I purposely spec'ed the M Performance over the M Pro to keep the aggressiveness in balance... You do you.

That's exactly why I added it to my order yesterday.

It's a hint, not overt. Same profile as standard, but different.

I have the standard OEM size in carbon fiber and am very happy with it. I thought the pro made the car look more of a track car, and I wanted to keep it more subtle

Another vote for the carbon fiber (CF) spoiler. Having owned my M5 for almost 2.5 years I was contemplating changing out my CF M spoiler that came with the car to the pro version. In my opinion it looks to big, I do think it looks better on darker cars.

I vote M pro, had it on my car makes the rear and side profile more aggressive and complete for an already too pedestrian looking car IMO

I swapped out the standard to the carbon right away, although I do have a white car. I was scared the Pro would be a bit too much for me but if I were to do this again, I would go for the pro as the car can take it and makes it that little bit more aggressive. I guess it depends on what you are looking for. Both will look nice so go with your gut.
