BM3 Stage 2 93 Oct - Need downpipes?

Do I need new primaries for a Stage 2?

Do I need new secondaries for a Stage 2?

I'm fine with secondaries but don't really want to do my primaries (CEL and smell). Debating doing all of these just wondering if I can get the tune now and install my secondaries later or need to do them first?

you need primary catless or high flow catted for stage 2.

secondary pipes are not mandatory

If you go with catless primaries leave the secondary stock you can reduce a lot of that smell.

Another option is to go with our 200 cell catted primary and catless secondarys.

Full catless primaries/secondaries here. Has a smell if in an enclosed space or at a red light with windows down, but otherwise not an issue. I’m happy with them. But everyone has their tolerances 😅

how much louder did it get? I'm not too interested in it being SUPER loud.

When in comfort mode or valves closed, can barely notice it’s much louder than stock. HOWEVER, WOT in sport+ or valves open it is menacing. Sounds like a jet taking off. 😆

Can you code out seeing the CEL with bimmercode or is it always on? I'm not sure if that'll bother me or not.

Skip to around 13 min. This video is showcasing the valves open and the loudness but in comfort the muffler really tone it down. It's my favorite mod.
