330i G20 brake replacement
My car (2019 G20) tells me I need to replace my rear brake pads. I got a couple of quotes (Melbourne) and they are all over the place. Dealership quoted $1400, two BMW independent shops quoted $1200-1300 (might as well go with the dealership) and one quoted $750. All three have really good reviews but I don’t know them otherwise. All quotes are for pads, rotors and of course sensors.
My question is, what’s a reasonable cost for this? The cheapest quote ($750) said they used Textar parts which I believe is OE. I can’t make sense of the significant difference especially across independent shops. And I don’t want to take any risks with my brakes. Hoping to get some insight from others. |

I never go with the dealer and always go to an independent for brakes. I use OEM parts or better and it is usually about 60% of the price. I've not had to replace them on my 330i yet, but had no problem doing that on my X5.
$750 is at the lower end, but if it's all the same parts then go for it. |
