Display Key anyone use it daily?
When I picked up my new M5 I was kind of shocked to discovered that it only came with one regular key and one display key, my previously 740D had two regular keys along with the display one.
So I’m in a dilemma as the wife also drives the car occasionally but this means one of us carrying the brute that is the display key, plus it doesn’t have a hole for a key fob so will require a cover increasing it already huge size further. Was wondering what the rest are doing. |

The digital key on the cell phone is pretty sweet, I've used mine on my new m5.
Supposedly you can even send them to someone if you need to. Just don't let your phone die 😂 |

I daily with the display key, no issues. I like it that it's big and won't be easy to loose.
I usually just carry the Display key, wallet and cellphone, no other keys or anything, as I live in a house so use my garage to get in, and my work opens from my phone. I see how display key would be an issue if you had to carry many other keys with it too. |

No, stupid thing. I would prefer 2 normal keys. only a matter of time where it catches me out going flat. Cant even attach other keys to it.
Sits in the house never moves.

You can get covers for it that includes a ring but my concern is it going flat. I believe it can be charged on the charge pad in front of the cup holder but don’t know if this will work with the cover on.

If your phone is in the charger bay i believe it will allow you to start the car if you have the digital key on it. |

I need to try the phone on the charging bay to see if it works, it does the rest though needs the face recognition to allow it.
