[Blue M5]

Hey Everyone, because of the Coronavirus getting a car has not been easy for me. The car I was originally getting might not happen now. The dealer is closed until further notice. I hopping to find out something tomorrow. But if I cant get any answers I need to make a choice. I cant keep waiting with out an actual date. Unfortunately with the options I want there are a very very limited amount of cars!

leasing a M5 competition...
Argon brown interior is a must and I really want the Bowers and Wilkins. There are only a couple cars available with this combo.
Black Sapphire Metallic with all the options I want MSRP 124,400

Alpine white with the Argon Brown but NO Bowers and Wilkins. MSRP116,×××

I just dont know what to do. I like black and white alot. On most cars I probably would take either color. But because of the carbonfiber roof, back mirrors and other little black pieces. The contrast with the white really pops. But the black looks good too. Any help is appreciated!

I would go with Black. Black would not give its luxurious look to any colour!

I know the feeling man. I ended up with Smoke White/Black Full Merino Leather in Almandine Brown Metallic. The car is gorgeous but everyone THINKS it's black and the carbon fiber roof doesn't pop on darker colors enough to give notice that it's an M model. 🙄

It's a lease, I'm not wrapping it. Both colors are beautiful. I just was kind set on white. But I keep asking myself do I need white or do I really need the Bowers and Wilkins. To be honest the HK stereo is better then any othe factory stereo I've ever had. So the Bowers and Wilkins is way better. Do I get the options and still a nice color or do it get white and due away with the Bowers and Wilkins.

I have had a Black Sapphire M4 and now an Alpine White M3 CS. When I had my black M4 I had strangers complimenting my car multiple times a week. With my M3 CS I think I have had five compliments in over a year of ownership. BSM is the way to go, I'll be picking up the LCI 2021 M5 later this year, going BSM without a second thought.

I agree with you on that one. I had an Alpine white 328i back in 2014 with red leather seats. I only got compliments when my door was open. My spouse had the Mediterranean Blue Metallic 328i and constantly got the thumbs up.

Understandable. No lie, I love my upgraded B&W. The lights are pretty cool too at night. I do find myself turning the music down a lot and cracking the windows to listen to the exhaust tho I came out of a 2017 X5 with the HK system.

[M5 F90 (2018)]

Both are lovely colours, however if you want the B&W and they do add something to the quality of the interior at night then id go black. I also think the black cars look harder with more stealth. Correct the white will pop and I chose the white, but black is generally my default but a bitch to keep clean and swirl free with me anyway. I find the white so much easier to clean and keep clean. Hope this helps.

Alpine white all day. All of my previous M6's were black sapphire and they just aren't eye-popping, especially if you have the CF roof (not to mention black is impossible to keep clean). M5's have lots of black pieces on it if you go with the grille, spoiler, CF roof.....BSM will make all of those look basic. Black totally hides the lines of a car, too.

100% do not agree Black looks best on the M5, it looks mean and aggressive. I never had an issue keeping my BSM M4 clean. White is just boring and basic.

I agree. Performance cars always look excellent in white especially with gloss black or CF parts. IMO there really aren’t many great colors for the f90 m5. White looks clean, and always looks good. Some of the other colors to me only look good in certain light. White to me looks great in any light. I do with there was a better color palette without going individual.

Get the car with the options you want, M5 looks fantastic regardless, black or white. The whole car POPS (including the exhaust)

I actually think black is the worst color for the F90 because of this.

Well I'm giving it till tomorrow night if we don't here back from the dealer with the one I want. Then Wednesday morning i need to make a choice. I'm really stuck. I want the options, but I want the white. In all honesty the HK stereo is better then any other factory stereo I've ever had. I dont usually blast music for long periods of time. I also already have a remus catback and ER secondary for the car. So I see the windows being cracked to hear the exhaust alot. Plus I have a 15 month old when shes in the car definitely not blasting any music. I guess I just wanted the Bowers and Wilkins because it's better. But I've heard both back to back and yes the Bowers and Wilkins has a little clearer sound but that's about it from what I can tell. All my friends are say F that Bowers and Wilkins lol. I have to make a decision. That's for you help guys

A company sells an $800 upgrade kit for the HK, if you must change it. People have also swapped in the light up speakers. Exterior color is a big deal, you need to go with the look you prefer. The stereo should be lower on your list. The B&W doesn’t blow you away. My 2 cents

I think your right. I'm gonna shirt it out tomorrow and see what I can get. Hopefully it's the original one. But I have my doubts. Just got to figure it out. Most likely I'm gonna go with the white one.

Great news today. My broker pushed and locked in the original white M5 competition that wanted. So I get my color with the Bowers and wilkens
