Looking at the pictures, I believe the current theory that another vehicle hit his rear driver side, causing him to lose control. Hitting a pole would not cause the rear door, let alone the glass, to have that much damage. Sadly, it was a new car. Fortunately, it was just a new car.

I'll just never understand this kind of stuff. 7 miles, how about maybe...Breaking the damn thing in?? Hope he's okay, but I mean seriously?? These auto's need to be driven maturely on public roads.

Glad the guy is ok! I'm sure he will get another one soon. A lot of people assume that performance car guys are always in the wrong but I can assure you that most can handle a car. It's the people riding the 3rd/fast lane doing 5-10 believe speed limit that piss me off.
