Mustang GT500
How would our F90 comp fare against the GT500?

M5 gets the win everywhere except for a prepped drapstrip. The mustang simply cannot transfer 760hp down to 2 wheels on the street without traction issues.

Makes sense; I was bored cooped up at home yesterday so went for an early morning drive and ran into a beautiful GT350 - nice guy driving it and we let our cars rip off stop lights on the tollway 121 frontage roads - absolutely safe. He just couldn't keep up and I was surprised unless he was completely dogging it.

Funny I got out of my gt350 to buy the M5 in December. A great car. Incredible grip but felt like 300hp below 4000rpm. You had to keep it wound up to feel the 526hp. Off the line it was no quicker than my friends 5.0 gt but 0-60 was never the car's purpose.
It was a great track car and mine actually had good quality but it's no M5.

Around the roads of Atlanta where there are many muscle cars, I've won every race from a dig. Most guys here back off after 100-120 due to obvious reasons (tickets and/or jail time). I honestly feel like some of the lesser models (ss, gt, srt, stingrays) are just revving/racing to see how much faster my car is... Cause certainly they expect to lose.

The move to AWD is a complete game changer for the M5. It is faster than many Fords and maybe a few Chevies too. lol |

It's not much of a contest.
The M5 goes from 0-60 in 2.8 seconds. The Mustang goes from 0 - upside down in a ditch in 2.5 seconds. 😉 |
