I don't drive mine that often in the winter and when I do, my work is only 5 minutes away. I went through 2 batteries in my old E60 and learnt my lesson ... in the winter months (snowing here again today and it's April 5) I always put and leave my car on the trickle charger.

Good point op

Can anyone recommend a good tender for lithium batteries? My f80 died 2 months ago and I paid 2grand to get it replaced.

Don't want to spend that again for a dead batt

I've been doing a bit of research and the CTEK Lithium US (around $90 on Amazon) seems highly rated (and appears to be used by a few folks here). I believe BMW sells a like charger (it's just a rebranded CTEK) that is a bit more expensive but charges both lithium and lead acid batteries.

I'm using the CTEK Lithium US for the F90 M5 and it's been fine. Gets very warm during the first phases of the charge, but settles down in the maintenance portion. I used a trickle charger for the F10 M5 also, and even though I never drove it during a winter, the AGM battery in it lasted 6 1/2 years. With the cost of the lithium ion batteries in the F90 I hope I can do as well, or better.

Same here. I got up to 153 mph around 3am in the morning with my partner spotting a mile ahead in another car. I regret backing off too soon and not finding out if the car was actually limited to 155. I'm definitely taking the m drivers class in SC once things end.

Not the best post in these times, hope you get away with it going public.

although I don't have an M5 (a 540i) given I can't justify taking the car out in the current climate I will just start it up every 2 weeks and let it idle for 15-20 mins and just move it forward / back a bit so its not sitting on the same part of tyres and avoiding a flat spot.
I think that's the best I can do given the current climate.
Not ideal but best compromise I can do.
I don't have a charger and car is in a sheltered location with no power near it anyway.
Sure there be many others in the same predicament.
