Anyone using Bowers EQ w/ HK system via coding?

Wifes 2022 X7M50i has the B&W diamond system which I've tuned to sound great. Current F10 has the HK system which even tuned is marginal.

Picking up a 22 M5C that has HK due to supply chain issues and wondering if anyone has had any positive or negative experiences with using the B&W EQ profiles coded to car to try to improve the sound the of the HK system in that vehicle.

Thanks

I did on my M550i. It’s a simple code flip, but doesn’t change anything aside from giving you access to the B&W audio profiles. That’s it.

Understand..... it does however give you access to the B&W sound profiles, surround options and EQ that are different than the H&K. My hope is it will give better options and flexibility to tune the H&K system. Was wondering if any of it really makes any difference. I just read a thread on the G07 board that a guy was able to flatten out the big 200HZ bump the H&K has by using the coded B&W SW

Did on mine as well, but I think it makes a difference. I usually listen to "Concert" or "Live" (forget which one), it adds a little echo to the tunes and I like that. If you leave it in "Studio" its how the stock HK system sounds, so you can clearly hear differences you didnt have previously......that's something, but as far as performance goes, you're right it doesnt add any extra power or anything like that.

Did you end up with profile choices of Studio, Concert, Stage, Theatre etc?

Changes from one to another made negligible differences. The B&W in wife’s 22 X7M50i has Studio 3D, Concert 3D, Stage 3D etc and changes from one to another have huge differences. Wondering if the B&W coded software for F90 chassis is different than on her G07 chassis.

Correct, I do not have the 3D options. But that might be a software/hardware difference between my 2020 versus the 2022.

My next car will have the B&W full system in it, its really incredible. That is if the Aliens ever figure out how to make more computer chips for us....

Hmmmmm the F90 is a 2022 that i had coded. Wonder why it doesn’t show the updated options? I’ve reached out to coder to see if he has any insight.

Many bash the B&W but in the X7 at least it’s phenomenal. Caveat requires tuning
