If those numbers are anywhere near close to what will actually be produced then we are looking at a rare car and collectible car. The U.S. should be receiving their ordering guidelines soon. Canada's guideline stated production to begin March, 2021 with deliveries in June, 2021.

The F90 is the first BMW that looks good since the E39. Not everyone always gets it right. Even Einstein got a bunch of theories wrong when he was older.

My 2021 F90 M5C looks way better than this M5 CS. Sorry, but the CS just looks too plasticy. In fact, it is. I want leather and metal, not plastic.

I think if they lost the yellow headlights it would improve the looks, and maybe that spoiler as well. It just clashes a bit too much with the gold surround on the grill. Otherwise I think it looks like a little more of a mean F90 but not too excessive, which was already a good starting point as the F90 is easily now the best looking M car at the moment in my opinion. I will say though I'd probably get the comp just because when I think of M5 I think of comfort and sport daily and not really carbon buckets and track car.

Nope. I tried to get an individual color and was denied by BMWNA.

The colors alone make it ugly.

Nah, they offer Brands Hatch Grey which people order for their M5C.

I was number one on my local dealers wait list, and he is only receiving two allotments. I decided against purchasing one and cancelled my slot. I have an M8 Competition Coupe and a Nissan GTR which I prefer over a sedan. The dealer told me the U.S. is only receiving 100 total vehicles which will make the car difficult to find and likely selling at a premium.

I don't want to say that you're dealer lied to you, but I don't think the number is that low. I'd love it if it were true since over got an order in though.

I heard 440 units are coming to the US.

100 is basically 2 per state. We've got four dealerships just in the Phoenix area and I think they all got 2 slots so the math just doesn't work to limit it to 100 cars.

Yes 100 seems really low, but what they should do is make the car special order only with a nonrefundable deposit that would go towards your payment. That would prevent cars sitting on lots at dealerships not moving them which could them to lower the sale price just to move the car.

Is this happening though? Everything I've seen for this is about allotments to order and not the dealers placing the orders and trying to sell the cars they picked out later.

This wouldn't work because most states have laws against non-refundable deposits

Not in Texas. My deposit was non-refundable. Not sure about anywhere else.

I wasn't asked for a deposit from my dealer, but in Arizona, deposits are fully refundable until the car goes into production. Even once in production I think they might be refundable.

I know some dealers ask for an additional deposit if they are ordering a custom color that would be hard to sell if the buyer walks.

Yeah my dealer was stating its a non refundable deposit because YOU as the buyer pick which of the three colors u want instead of the dealer choosing it along with the options. So if u back out then they are suck with a color and options u choose that may not be desirable thus making it harder to sell. Remember this is a modifiable order to customer's choices though being limited to only 3 options to choose from.

Not even state or dealership will get one. My dealership was originally told they wouldn't get one. Then boom it showed up sales mangers inventory. He was originally gonna dealer trade it to seattle as they called on it 22 times but wanted to give a local customer the chance to buy it if desired.

Yeah, pretty sure your dealer is lying about that, or just flat out misinformed.

The three colors are not custom so there is no need for a non refundable deposit.

However, let's say you custom ordered Urban Green. Then I could see them saying they want a non refundable deposit.

On a separate note, I did try to get an individual color on my order and it was denied by BMWNA. No other colors allowed on the M5CS.
