I am coming over from the G80 crowd and searched to see if there is any benefit on having the controller for the f90. It provided a nice increase in overall sound on the G80 and I'm removing it any way with the sale of the car so I thought I would check. The M5 is a comp car, no m performance titanium exhaust.

The stock valves do not open 100% even on sport mode, the controller fixes this issue.

This could be the source of light rattle some of us with modded cars and higher exhaust flow experience. Mine sounds like it comes from the passenger rear valve area. I might just remove the valves.

As far as I know, this holds true for all the newer models
