Question on various intakes (Eventuri, Dinan, PG)
So I've been doing research on intakes over the last couple days. Listening to lots of sound samples, install videos, manufacturer's guides to get an idea of build quality etc etc. The one common sound trend I've seen is that a lot of the cars that have them do not make the nice factory burble that I hear from my car on engine breaking and down shifts. That or they make substantially less burble. Of course you pick up that amazing turbo spool noise. I know the fuel mixtures can change a little with intakes making it more lean.
So my question for any of the intake owners on here, do you feel that your factory burble noise was reduced? Hoping to hear from non tuned and fairly stock cars because downpipes and the likes will change results. My car is stock with the MP Titanium Exhaust. I don't want to compromise one sound for the other. Thanks in advance for any help on this topic!

Burble is exhaust and overrun related. Not intake. Had no affect on mine after installing eventuri.

Good to know about your experience. I was doing a lot of research on bimmerpost across other forums and people mentioned that the fuel mixture changes could alter. I know intakes directly wouldn’t impact it but I wasn’t sure about the legitimacy of the car potentially running leaner which could impact those pops and bang. Appreciate your reply!

I have the Eventuri intake and had the Project Gamma one too before that and neither had any effect on the pops/burble.

Intake has nothing to do with burbles/pops/bangs. Unless other peoples cars are different you won’t get any burbles unless in 1st - 3rd gear and it’s probably the more when letting off the throttle at like 4k rpm or so than specifically down shifting.
