Adding trunk sub to B&W

Hi All,

I am planning on installing a trunk sub setup out my old F80 into the F90.

Two issues I just need clarification on if anyone knows:

1 - Will ASD be an issue as it was in the F80? In the F80 I just unplugged the module while I was in there. Luckily I got MPE so I should be OK with ASD off.

2 - I notice that the bass gets rolled off when volume goes past about 60%. Is there a way to get around this?

Thanks in advance.

So as to my second issue, I forgot that the LC2i does perform this function so this is a non-event.

New issue.

ASD is not where I thought it would be?

Must be coded out on 2020-2021 models, it was a plug you pulled in the trunk on 2018-2019 models.

Thought as much. I have left it on and I must say that I am not concerned about too much drone running through the new sub. I actually think the deeper ASD along with MPE sounds better overall.

Thanks for the input.

Definitely worth the effort. For those worried about the sound passing into the cabin I can say it is not an issue.

I am running an old 12inch MTX dvc in a sealed enclosure powered by a 600w monoblock amp.

Now to kill the vibrations on the underside at about 50hz. Sounds like heat shields.

Awesome, info. Did you take any photos of the install? Would love to add something similar to mine.

No pics but will take some once I figure out a permanent way of keeping the box in place.

This same box stayed in place with bungees for 4 years in my F80. This thing pulls much harder.

I have ended up not using Accubass due to it being very unpredictable in its delivery and I have not coded out ASD.
Just re-tuned EQ, fader and Lc2i output levels for me to be fully optimised at about 65% on the volume scale.

You mentioned LC2i resolves bass roll off issue?
I'm having this issue in my G20.
