Pretty sure I won't be tinkering my own map as I am already darned impress with the shifting. Never new our DCT boxes could shift this way lol!!

Will await your results on your new found settings...
Your timing is 10°-12° looped, not straight.

For you and anyone else keep away from launching from a dig or stand still. 3rd gear rolls are fine and not in harm of breakin anything in that gear and up

Keep in mind if you feel if you want to dumb things down a bit please request so or ask how to lower boost and torque on your own maps either way it doesnt matter we will assist.

I got you basically maxed based on the system limitations on boost but "very controlled" when you see your logs as compared to others. Its easier to come down than going up.

Timing will be adjusted if I see too much corrections. Every car is different etc

Hey Dimitri, what kind of mileage are you getting on this? It's very hard not to be aggressive on this flash. Interested to see if my mileage is in line with yours.

hahaha...the most I got was 19 mpg (mostly highway driving)through a half tank of gas, then I couldnt take it anymore

To make that you will have to have Sport Off with M-mode or D-Mode (very conservative) which is more relaxing and doesnt tax your fuel. Your version 2 map update will improvement on gas on the low side with Sport off. Just dont forget to hit the sport button before getting aggressive on the throttle or going WOT.

Update

My new DS came in, but now they have to almost "pry" or disassemble the input part to the diff. Good news is the nothing broke on the diff. The metal shroud you see is being pealed off and in that section is where it broke that has bearings.

Did you pay for all your drive shafts? I was thinking in that scenario with all the tq your making, take the tune of the car and take it to the dealer for warranty?

I guess it depends on how hard the SA wants to try to help, unless they deny it because of the dp's and intercooler adding the extra power... Just figured I'd ask cause I would hate to go through so many drive shafts and figured I would since I love launching this thing haha

Only the fist one was covered by BMW. We were thinking of claiming the warranty but then BMW asked for the car to come in. I could have uninstalled the COBB and cleared all code and history, towed the car there ($$$$); the car was modded and had E60 in the tank that would have threw an SES code and other problems and put 2 and 2 together, warranty claim get denied then I would have to tow the car back to the same shop then order the DS....lmao. that would have been more $$$$

I just said to shop cut the chase and order me a new DS. I am send the broken DS in to a shop to see if I can get a CF one made and be done with it so I can get back to launching this.

ATM I am banned from LC....lol I am going to restrict my self to only normal take offs at the track and roll racing.

Is this type of damage possible for an E92 xi? I do have a Wedge E40 map and the car has got some balls lately!

Launching an AT car is no where near as violent as launching a 335is using launch control. you have to remember the 335is was around + or - 300 wtq stock. Push that up over 400 + at launch and things brake.

So unless you get wheel hop... things are less likely to let go.

Not that I have heard or came across. Its mostly a DCT driveline thing due to gear ratio of gears 1 and 2. Gear 3 and up not issues. Ive seen this driveshaft break on stock tune. Had a local that was stock and broke it in the same place going WOT in 1st or 2nd and we are talking about a 200+ lbs torque difference

We have two RB XI cars running our tune, one of them made #1 on the list at Dragtimes and his 60' was 1.70 with a 11.3 ET and he is running our E60 map which is very close to my N54B30TO godzilla E60 maps

I can't wait to run an E60 map. I have to get that Steve AZ Fuel Pump. I have already dropped from a 3.96 - 3.78 0-60mph with my E40 map from Wedge! Cant wait to try another 1/4 and maybe crack the 12 second barrier. Too bad all four tires are breaking at launch

Hey D, can you give me a quick laymans version of the differences between V1 and V2? I'll get you some V2 logs tomorrow night but it seems like it hits as hard as V1, which is good!

From what I recall, I made your torque more linear to peak closer to 5k rpms and did a modern day indian rain dance to straighten out some timing corrections to more flow with the beat

Here is an "example" of what your power curve will look like on a dyno. Dont pay attention to the whp and wtq cause its not the same setup your running.

Question about the rear end ratios. I debated doing an M3 LSD conversion, but wouldn't the 3.xx gear (sorry forget the exact gearing off the top of my head) make 1st, 2nd, and 3rd even shorter then they already are? And drag out the higher up gears even more?

In my drag car, going from a 3.55 to 4.10 significantly shortened 1st gear almost to where 1st did nothing but burn the tires...

There are two solutions to this. You can either get a customer CF driveshaft made that reinforces the week spot on the DS or per Dzenno@PTF's suggestion

If you're willing to try my suggestion to you would be to try a 3.08. It'd shorten up your gearing but load on that part of the driveline would be less and I suspect it wouldn't break. When we swapped the 2.56 Quaife on our shop's 6MT the same situation happened with a few launches. Countless launches before that on the 3.08 were fine as well as after the 2.56. I never went back to that gear ratio in the final drive.

Dzenno@PTF

This is what is breaking on the inside of the DS that I pointed onmy previous posts:

using launch control...also I had to let my foot off the gas pedal right after coming out from the tree. Logs confirm.......Was getting wheel spin and wheel hop

Latest map I have for the 335is I wouldnt be using LC anymore, just a standing start and shift out of 1st and 2nd quickly to get to 3rd then let it rip
