Yes for new orders. But Still hoping the existing orders are shipping out like they said was happening. As they have manufacturing set up now. If it's all orders then I will be hitting my year mark. Lol

Dinan_Engineering any word?
1 year?!!
Hoping it's everything your expecting it to be. I've had 3 different vehicles in that time frame 😂

Lol well everything else is over $1000 for some simple welder 3.5" pipe. Not worth it to me. I already had the resonator deleted so not that worried. Pulled the trigger on the Dinan exhaust so plan to just pair it with that anyway.

Please post a clip of the sound when the exhaust and pipe are installed.

Of course! If it ever arrived. Still silence from Dinan. No word on the exhaust I ordered either that was supposed to ship on "June 29th" lol. I knew it was too good to be true.

Edit: just took a look and now their exhaust says August '22 for the exhaust. It really is starting to annoy the bell out of me. How can that be so wrong with their product availability week to week. The only excuse is they're trying to draw people in just to string them along. I hate these kinds of business practices. If you won't have it in stock for 6 months then say that. Don't shift your "expected" date 2 months at a time. Ugh.

You will likely get tracking for the x-pipe later today or tomorrow. That small initial run noted a couple weeks back that was supposed to be done "around 6/24" got delayed slightly for whatever the reason (at this point I personally don't care what the reason is and those waiting probably don't either). I'll take the week-ish delay over another month though...

I also have an inquiry in with production about the exhaust itself. They are built it appears but have a hold on them (QC maybe?). Bit of a mystery to me at present I am hoping to clear up. I miss having finished exhaust production in the same building. =/

Mine was shipped as well. Question, are you planning to have it cut and clamped or cut and weld?

Umm not sure. I believe the Dinan exhaust clamps to the x pipe and x pipe clamps to oem pipes so I'll probably just do that for simplicity. I have already had the resonators cut out so they may have to do some work to fit the x pipe to whatever work they already did and welding may be the easiest for that connection. Idk.

Got mine yesterday when I was installing my remote starter. Much lighter than I expected it lol. Hopefully exhaust arrives in the next couple weeks. Hoping to get at least a full year out of thr set up. Lol

Although if I can get my hands on a '23 build then I'll
Just move it to there right away' haha

Had my X pipe installed yesterday. Tough for me to give anyone a comparison from stock because i have catless downpipes both primaries and secondaries and BMC filters. All i can say is, the turbo whistle got significantly louder. Cold start is definitely a bit louder but once car idles down, you can still drive in quiet mode with valves closed and not sound so obnoxious. But when valves are open and youre in sport mode, WOW. When youre on the gas, everyone knows it. Aggressive downshifts are even more aggressive as well. I could do without the pops when you take foot off the gas but overall, happy with it. Only been a day. My goal was not more volume but more deep bass type feel and sound. Definitely achieved that.

Did you have the cats and x pipe installed at the same time or already had them in? Or are you saying the sound changed that much from just adding x pipe.

I'm curious as I'm going from essentially straight to x pipe.

No. Ive had the downpipes in for quite a while now. This was just the Xpipe install. Id say if your car is stock, just the Xpipe would probably make a nice difference

ah ok. Ya i mean i guess i saw similar change when just removing the resonator. I'm sure having the down pipes has made a huge difference too.

You don't have any resonators correct?
Does it sound raspy?

No resonators. And nope. Just louder and more bangs which not a huge fan. Wish someone would learn to code them out like Porsche.

Ok nice!

Have you tried turn off the exhaust button?
That may turn off the bangs and with the the mhd tune at least probably others tune to you can adjust the pops and bangs.

Ya I unfortunately I run in sport+ almost daily so that forces them open and the burbles if I recall.

Yeah then it will burble and bang.
I guess if you want to run in sport+ and have no burble and bangs you have to get a tune with them deleted.

Yup. Just have never heard of anyone cracking that yet (nor why they would put that in an M5 to begin with. Is what it is. I just feel a little embarrassed coming to stop light and gun shots coming out of my ass end. Expecting to see a slammed civic with rims too big for the tires utilizing only 3" of the existing tread. Hahahaha
