At $2000 a month you are into much different territory. Not that an M5 is not a great vehicle but it's not a turbo s! Lol. Truth is I said same thing when I set out to lease an M5. Was sorely disappointed with the lease rates and whether affordable or not, made no sense to me to pay $2k for this msrp range. Luckily cut a deal for a 2018 at $1215 tax in (now $1226 due to local sales tax increase starting Jan 1).
Agree all around! $1,215 is reasonable and represents value. At least for me, $2k/mo. does not represent value.

With that MSRP the dealer is discounting somewhere around $8-10K and including the $5K lease rebate that is available in that total discount. They can do a good bit better. Aim for $8-10K off, PLUS the $5K leasing rebate. that should get you somewhere in the 1450-1480 per month range with first payment down and base money factor.

That is a terrible deal. There are plenty of dealers that will discount a M5 6-8% off MSRP without much effort. And if you look a little harder, you can find others who will do 10% off.

From the above, it looks like they are selling it at MSRP and the only "discount" is the $5k lease credit from BMW FS.

Not to mention 10 to 20k down.

mclaren 570 lease is 2k a month but they don't mention the 20k down. 4 years. 2500 miles/year. $1/mile

I had a Mclaren 570s and now I have a BMW m5.
There is no comparison. The Mclaren weighs almost 1500 pounds less and is special in a way the m5 will never be.
Numbers aren’t everything. It handled, braked and accelerated better and inspired a lot more confidence.

You felt special driving the Mclaren which you will never feel driving an m5.
I had a 997.1 turbo, a 997.2 turbo and a 991.1 turbo. They were closer to the m5 than the Mclaren but they were better and more special as well.

The m5 has them all beat for practicality and I think it’s the best sports sedan u can buy. But it’s not even in the same league as a Mclaren and not even close to a 911 turbo or turbo s in terms of just fun and driving.

Hi guys - currently looking at the offer attached and would be grateful for your thoughts. Looks as though the MF is 0.00198 based on my calculations, so I'll be sure to try and get that closer to the base rate.

Is this a base or competition?
Also, what is ‘upfront charges’? (Bottom right)

No deal. You should be able to easily get that deal down in the low $1400 range or less with discounts and the lease rebate and first payment only. Not sure how your state works on the taxes. Some you have to pay upfront, some are rolled into the payment.

That's a non-comp, no lease rebates are available for comp models.

Is this a fair offer

Folks - need your advice on whether the following offer I am about to make is fair:

- 2019 M5 CP
- MSRP $121K
- Offer $109K
- Base MF 00188
- Residual 55%
- Taxes, title, fees upfront
- Monthly payment comes to $1510

I will be turning in my 2016 M5 Comp 5 months early and eating the $5K in payments.

Will I be laughed out the door?

Your offer is probably a little ambitious. Around 8% off MSRP is more realistic.

Good luck!

With some work you should be able to get close to that number. You will have to reach out to several dealers but can probably for sure get around $10K off a comp with base MF
