Today they had me sign out of connected drive website first and then the app and now I can't sign back in inside x5 says something went wrong , and now sos button just keeps dialing so that is now out also , and they activation code does not go to the idrive so now it's 10 times worse ,

For what it's worth, this is also affecting G20 folks.
I've had my '20 M340i for a month and while I can successfully lock/unlock/honk, the car hasn't updated fuel/location/status since 6/5. '18 X3 on the same app, account, and garage works fine. Genius & ConnectedDrive assistance say it's a known problem, there's nothing that can be done to fix it on my end, and to just be patient. Coworker with a '19 X5 is having the same issue and was told the same thing. Obviously, YMMV. |

Am I the only one getting an image of a G30 in remote 3D view instead of a G05? I do have a G05 in my app's garage.. LoL This has been going on for about 2-3 weeks now.

Waiting on bmw assist to create a new ESA for my x5 I created a new email address and will see if this works they still swear connected drive is down I keep telling them it's bull and are forcing there hand in this and said if it don't work they will be getting x5 back until they get it to work , dealer is no help they say it's a connected drive issue and the account is wrong , now the sos keeps dialing out so car is useless to me and I can't drive it , sent in proof of ownership 2 days ago and still not approved, basically bmw customer service went down hill

I had the same issue, where none of my Connected Drive features on the app would work. I kept trying to connect to the vehicle and it said "Failure to Connect" so I called BMW Assist customer support (you need to call BMW Assist). They said the problem was, for some reason, my profile/account wasn't showing up... even though I have one. They issued an IT help ticket and put it on RUSH SERVICE. Two days later, my app was back to normal, I could see my car on it, and all remote functions were back to normal.

I had the same issue. I used a different email address never registered with ConnectedDrive and a new password and everything went back to normal.
