Why it's difficult to find the Anti-dazzle (glare free) and variable light distributi

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
Hey, I am new to the forum but not new to the brand/platform/topics discussed here.

I have M5 First Edition. Prior to this, I had an M6C and M4C and I successfully coded the Anti-dazzle (glare free) and variable light distribution (VLD) coding using Bimmercode expert mode. I also coded the easy entry/exit on my M6 using Bimmercode.

However, I spent a good 2 weeks researching the aforementioned topic on the M5 and no luck. Any idea how to code the VLD, AD and easy entry/exit on 2018 M5 using Bimmercode?

The coding should be similar to the G30
VLD and GFHB
Body domain controller
3530 LaMaster1 > LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y > AFS > enable
3530 LaMaster1 > C_FLC_ENA > enable [was already enabled]
3531 LaMaster2 > c_AFS_ENA > enable
3532 LaMaster3 > c_HBA_ENA > enable [was already enabled]
3532 LaMaster3 > c_HBA_GFHB_ENA > enable

For Easy entry you might also need to code the seat module, not sure if bimmercode supports this

Is the headlight hardware the same as in the markets that allow this option to work? I had a 2016 M4 and enabled that option only to find out that the headlight hardware was different in the U.S. and it would not work right. It wouldn’t open the tunnel when driving behind another vehicle.

Thanks!

Thanks for this, really appreciate it. On M6 it was straightforward from the expert mode on Bimmercode. However, for the f90 I heard that it's not the case. Hardware is required. I will give this a shot this afternoon using Bimmercode and report back. Also, any idea how to keep the headlights in automotive mode all the time? Thanks

They are on when the headlights turn on or do you want them on in the daytime? Not sure what you're asking exactly

Sorry again, on my M6 I coded them using Bimmercode to keep them on all the time. Didn't to physically turn them on. But this option doesn't exist in Bimmercode for f90. Same as easy entry and the VLD etc.

Hmmm maybe pre lci is different, for lci it has memory so it stays on unless you use your high beams manually then you have to turn it back on. I'm sure somewhere there's a line of code that has to do with headlight memory or highbeam memory so try searching for something like that?

So I tried to code this again and nothing matched the codes above. For instance, when I hit C_FLC_ENA there is no clue after that to choose from (aka enable/disable).

You can look at the value and see they match, its only the name that are different. The correct for LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y will be Werte=00, 00, 00. The rest choose Werte=01

Hi Gents !
If any of that works for anyone please let us know! I am very interested in this especially if it will work for Pre-LCI car. I doubt that there is hardware missing. One thing that comes to mind is that some cars came with different light control modules that have additional cable in the plug mentioned under thread about LCI tail light conversion. I don’t know exactly remember but some cars have 4 wires and some have 5 therefore there could be some difference there. That would be the only thing that comes to mind.

I don't see Werte=01 under LUT_FLC_FORWARDLIGHTING_Y as per the screenshots I shared above
