I, like many others here, have cross shopped the RS6 to the M5 twice now.

I didn’t need this article to affirm I made the right choice (twice!) but it was nice to see. Of course, straight line power and 1/4 mile times aren’t everything, but here you go:

I have had both tuned. Currently still have the RS7. Stock vs stock it’s not close. Tunes really wake the RS7 up. My Unitronic tuned RS7 is running quicker 60-130s than my racechip F90 did. But mod for mod the F90 takes it everytime. They both have pros and cons but both are fantastic cars.

Nice set of rides! Very cool to own both. I never felt the visceral feeling I got from the M5 from the RS cars stock to stock.

Is this M5 running a full tune?

No it was just a piggyback vs RS7 with full tune. Had F90 had full tune it would have been quicker. I was nervous about doing full tune on F90 because of horror stories when trying to push the limits.

Ah I thought you meant two different M5s.

I feel you. I am also running RC. Moderate, but safe gains, and I think the ROI is fantastic. Great bang for your buck mod, especially when leasing!
