Is the carbon front splitter mandatory if you want to order the carbon pro spoiler?

I asked my dealer (I'm dealing with the GM that I've known for 20 years) to add the spoiler to my build, which he did. He called me shortly after and said that it would only let him add the spoiler if we added the front splitter with it.

I love the way the splitter looks but for $3k I don't find it necessary. I was wondering, if this was the case, if I should cancel both and just buy the spoiler somewhere else after I get the car?

I think it is required. If look at the part numbers - there's a part number that does not correspond to a physical part but is listed as a part number for the pro spoiler as well.

If you're leasing it makes a heck of a lot of sense to get these parts via BMW as port installed options as you're only paying for 43 percent of the part (assuming a 3 year, 10k lease).

I've got the splitter, pro spoiler, side skirts and diffuser going on my 23 F90 now and although I bought the car I still went with these as port installed options because this way there's no question that BMW is responsible for any quality issues at delivery or down the road, plus they're still on the window sticker, thereby avoiding the stigma of a "modified" car.

One option is to not do a port install... just get the car the way it is and switch it out. Some hassle but you save money not having to get both.

Found this out the hard way as well. I just told them to forget it because I only wanted the rear spoiler.

You’ll have to buy the spoiler separately to avoid the splitter re: port installed.

According to the people at the vpc, you can either get just the splitter, or you have to get the spoiler and splitter together due to the fact that they code the dsc to tell it it has additional aero.
