Lightbulb 2024 M5 Details & Renderings from CarWow

I was a little concerned with the mighty M5 next Gen appearance, given the uhhhm controversial design language from BMW lately. But I must say, if these images hold true, it will be quite the looker indeed! CS variant expected with 800+hp

Thoughts?

Not bad but would hope it will be less angular with edges softened. Looks like Cadillac. Grill should not be closed off as engine will likely need more air.

The rear end render looks nothing like the leaked photo of the blue rear bumper.

That was my first thought as well!

I don’t absolutely adore it at the moment, but I could probably work with this/designs derived from this.

The doors look tall as hell in that first shot, though.

It's too bad the side vent was eliminated, I assume to make room for the electrical plug. That was a nice design feature, with the associated crease in the panel along the length of the side, that gave the F90 a more dynamic look.

But, at least the grill is not vertical.

That would be a horrible trade off. I mean the side vents have been there since the E60. Removing those would be almost sacrilegious. Isn’t that one of the most noticeable signs of the M5?

I am sure it will look amazing in person but instead of adding weight they should be trying to shave every pound possible. Or kilo. Heavy cars are not fun to drive. 7 series vibes.

That is the nature of not only every modern car, but especially Electric or Hybrid cars.
The gobs of instant Torque generally fixes this.

So far renderings look real good IMO . Real Car will be better Im sure . At least it's not morphing to the new 7 series - WTH!!!

I love my '23 M5 Comp - classic and modern interpretation of BMW design +last of the ICE M5's
