All Settings Erased
Not sure what happened. Drove last Saturday. No issues. Got in to drive today, and all my settings were gone. Seat, M-profiles, equalizer, etc. everything just back to default. At least my BimmerCode seatbelt and startup nag gags were still in place.
I want to say poking through the menus I saw what I thought were new options. Has the option to turn off "DRL's" always been there? Anyway, anyone know if there's been a recent update release? If not, what would cause everything to just reset to default? I was about to get pissed then realized the "flaps" button was night-and-day difference with pops/blurbles. I was like "wtf they neutered my exhaust." I just don't think I noticed that before really. Need to enable it in both profiles, as I forgot. Edit: Uh yea, nevermind. I just realized I had both fobs in my bag, so it must have read the one I never set up or used. I'll leave this thread up in case someone else has the same issue and runs across my tale of dumbassery. Last edited by nerdogray; 06-22-2023 at 07:55 PM.. |

Any chance it just didn’t recognize your profile. I’ve had this happen a couple times only to see I was signed into the car as a guest for some reason. Happened once when I had changed my bmw app password. Super fine typing that into the car with the wiz wheel

Unsure. Once I put that other fob back in a place where it wouldn't get mistakenly picked back up, it never happened again. With the other fob, everything was normal. And "typing" with that wheel is the worst, especially if you have long alphanumeric passwords.
