@Anthony_F80 came by yesterday for a quick upgrade.
He will enjoy his 400 miles drive with some open road.
If any CHP in this forum working the route, just let him go and have fun as long as he is not cutting in and out.

So, after a work trip I was able to drive the car with the RC on it.

I am very pleased, I feel it is a great return on investment. More so that Dinan is still saying after SEMA, no known release date.

Couldn't be happier that I didn't wait.

Odds are good that I'll take her to the 1/4 mile track tomorrow evening.

I'll report back the numbers/changes.

To a point.

Very spotty connection. I'd say it connects, on the first try... 50% of the time.

Fortunately.. I'm not one to switch daily.

I have noticed the "warmup" timer isn't exactly clear. Well, I guess I just don't know the requirements.

Say it's set at 2:00... is that 2:00, every time I start the car?

Example, car is warmed up, I stop to get a pack of smokes... I restart that car. Does the 2:00 start again?

Sometimes it counts down.. others it doesn't.

I am not 100% sure if it restarts every short engine shut-off. I never pay attention to it.
I set mine to 1 minute since it is warm all year long in LA.
For V8TT, 1 minute should be plenty since it gets warm much faster.

I'll check the warmup timer on my car later on the way home and give feedback.

No it doesn't, ones the temperature is up and you shut it down for short time it doesn't restart the warm up time.

Scratch the track day tomorrow. Just found out the last Wednesday for the year was last week.

I'll make it the 16th or 17th... to see how much the time made a difference.

I'm confident she will drop at least .4 sec.

But, we shall see.

Did some runs 0 to 60, added boostane to 91 octane gas, sitting at 97 octane. Car is definitely faster in race mode.
Now the problem is at launch all 4 wheels are spinning like crazy and I cant get 0 to 60 under 3.18 sec, stock on 91 octane was doing 3.2 sec.

Like this. Lol

You need to keep RPM'S at about 2700K for better launch.
Specially if temperature is below 70F
For Spring I am getting wider tires 285 front and 305 back

I’ve hit 2.8 on Vbox and Dragy with RC. Just takes a low rpm launch.

I have been using dragy, but rpm ramps up so quickly to 3k that there is very little room to adjust.
Will be going to drag strip coming Friday. Will post some numbers.

Great job !

With a 1.75 you must have been spinning at the launch (track prep not there) You are close to my results but I was lucky to hook better. I dropped 0.40. 11.2 to 10.8

I dont think I spinned much. But was in line for 45 mins waiting for my turn.
Each time the wait was too long so may be heat soak.
Also da corrected time is 10.9

Were you using higher rpm launch or low?

Same day I was losing 0.15 with 3000rpm launches. Kept playing with lower launches and dropped the 60ft from 1.78 to 1.64 on the 10.8 pass. That was at 2600-2700 rpm.

So when I got this item of course I wanted to justify the purchase by letting the placebo effect enter. And yes the car felt faster immediately. Yesterday (after 300 miles with the RC) I had it removed and took the car in for 1200 mile service. On the way there, I encountered traffic so I couldnt really tell how much slower the car is. The car is a rocket ship up front anyways; after the service I again drove home in traffic so no chance to judge the car without it. I just installed the RC again and took the car for a nice 5 miler and damn its worth all the money and then some.

I know this is anecdotal but there are others who have done a great job posting the gains. This is such a great bang for the buck with a 10 min install and remove time if you must. The BMW dealer told me they scan the cars now so Im glad I pulled (he is mod friendly though so I informed). Im not sure what the scan would show with a bench flash but this is very safe.
