Finally Picked Up My Bluestone-Delivery Pics

Car had been sitting for 2 weeks at the dealer while I was away. Ordered it in May. I went back and forth deciding on Base vs. Comp. Even with my track days and spirited driving habits, most days are on So Cal Roads so I took the 5K rebate and the smoother ride with the base model. Also my wife hated the exhaust noise on my 2016 Comp which sometimes woke up our 3 year old. Ordered it with the luggage compartment mat which fits just perfect, and the M Logo LED Door Projector Lights which are really cool. B & W just needs some custom EQ settings. The car drives amazing !! What a difference from my 2016 M5 Comp. Not even close !! The fake exhaust sound was cracking me up on the way home. The sound is coming out of the front speakers, I had coded it off on my 2016 M5. That will be first on my coding list again. I keep opening the door to the garage to look at it !!

Beautiful car, and congrats. That bluestone is really a sharp color. I coded out the asd one week ago...wish I had done it sooner. It's fun for a few, and the sound is neat, but until it was gone I didn't realize how loud and obtrusive it was. enjoy the ride.

Very nice! Now get some side skirts so your rockers won't get dinged up by road trash and gravel.

Congratulations, beautiful color. i was between that and donington grey. I went with donington with aragon interior. I lik how you blacked out all the chrome looks like a comp. I was wanting to get the BMW trunk liner but my cheap ass didn't want to pay what the dealer was asking. I ended up getting the weather tech liner for 1/2 the price.

Yes, the artificial sound is quite hilarious and I was fooled at times by it. I was able to just unplug the module in the trunk. Took less then 5 min to unplug. Surprised on how quiet the car is with it unplugged. It's quite civilized as a daily driver.

Um, isn't there a button on the center console that defeats the artificial sound? Seems easier than disconnecting a module or fuse that may have a dual function.

honestly i never tried that for deactivating artificial sound. i thought that only effected opening and closing the flaps on exhaust. how come so many owners are coding or disconnecting module to disable ASD then?

Not sure - it’s a WeatherTech trunk liner. I bought the ///M labels from someone on eBay.

Ps I just took a quick peek at the WxTech site and only saw the liners; that’s not to say they don’t have it.
