CS vs M Performance Trunk Spoiler
Gents,
Trying to decide between the M Performance trunk spoiler and the CS trunk spoiler. CS looks pretty close just smaller and slightly less aggressive. I know the M performance also requires betalink install, the CS doesn't. Hoping someone who has seen both in person might chime in. NOTE: Not looking @ RW Carbon just using their images as my car is silver, was easier to compare. First pic is CS, M Performance second. |

I've never seen the "CS" style spoiler IRL, but I have the pro spoiler installed on my car. It's a fantastic piece. It's not over the top flashy, and it really finishes the rear end (along with the m performance carbon diffuser). The car's rear just looks incomplete without the pro spoiler, it should've came with a pro shaped spoiler from factory lol.

I am looking for a spoiler and other carbon parts for my M5 f90 LCI.
has anyone tried the cheap Ebay spoilers? It says, they are carbon fiber, I am not sure on the quality and fitment. so any feedback on experience would be great. Once example: https://www.ebay.com/itm/M4-STYLE-CA...AAAOSwTfde5ItZ Thanks |

The "CS" style is not offered by M performance. So OEM M performance only offers the carbon pro spoiler. Part # is 51-19-2-457-441.
Autotecknic is selling both the CS style and carbon pro spoilers but they're made by Autotecknic and not OEM (but Autotecknic has pretty good quality, at least for their paddle shifters). Pro: https://autotecknic.com/products/aut...5-g30-5-series CS: https://autotecknic.com/collections/...5-g30-5-series Don't forget the betalink. |

I have the oem CS trunk spoiler on a 2021 lci I had the pro spoiler on a 2019 comp. I prefer the look of the cs, I feel it suits the car better. The pro on my 2019 was first mounted with 3m tape but there was a gap under the edges I had it redone with betalink, the CS one was mounted with 3m tape.

I installed my pro spoiler on my 2018 myself because dealer and body shops refused to install. Betalink was a pain in the ass and was recommended. I did it because I drive 160 from time to time, and having it fly off would be inconvenient.
I have a CS now. I think the spoilers are the exact same height off the trunk, and the geometry is nearly the same, but the CS is further forward. Looks like it's installed with the same adhesive tape the stock non-pro spoiler is attached with. Having removed the stock one off my 2018, the CS spoiler ain't goin' NOWHERE (i.e. that shit is STRONG) Shawn |
