I have been collecting all Verde Ermes/Anglesey green pictures I could find over the last months. My conclusion is that one would need to see two cars side-by-side to see if there's a difference. They are definitely very similar, but on photos is impossible to conclude definitively (right is Anglesey Green, btw).

Thanks for the information! That's a 2021 model year produced before the alleged paint name/code change Verde Ermes -> Anglesey Green, right?
It's clear the sticker used to say "P7T Verde Ermes Perl Met", a similar photo was posted in another thread: https://g80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1887886 The question is what the sticker of more recent 2023-2024 models says and whether the paint is identical to the (absolutely gorgeous!) one you've got. Here's another picture - Anglesey green car I ordered, just arrived at the dealer, hopefully picking up later this week. Does that look like Verde Ermes or not? Maybe....

Awesome! It does look like Verde Ermes if you ask me (although I've never seen the paint in person)! You'll know it's the real thing once you see the gold/yellow shine coming out on the direct sun Looking forward to see more photos once you get the car!

Correct, it was called Verde Ermes at the time.

It's nowhere near seeing it in person or even from a good photo, but have you guys looked here?
https://individual.bmw-m.com/en-US/G80-31AY-P9X You can use your scroll function to look through all the greens (or any color for that matter) on the right side of the picture.

Really looking forward to seeing photos of your car! I'm particularly curious how the paint looks when not on the sun. Really hoping it's showing some depth and details even on overcast days. Some other colors look really muted, dull, and flat. I hope this one is better than that (it has to be, it's a Lamborghini paint)! |

Thanks for an update and congrats on the car! What are your initial thoughts on the color? Is it everything you had hoped for?
Would you say the paint shows any texture or graininess when looking at it up close out of the sun? You know, a lot of lighter metallic paints do retain some of their depth even in cloudy weather. For instance, my recent loaner was in Phytonic Blue Metallic, and the paint had this depth effect going on regardless of the weather, although it's considered an ordinary zero charge color. In contrast, my brand new M4 in Tanzanite Blue II - a highly praised individual paint - utterly lacks any details and has the dullest navy appearance in day-to-day use... I'd really really appreciate a close up shot of Anglesey Green on an overcast day! Thanks in advance! Last edited by sshymko; 03-30-2024 at 11:04 PM.. |

Sorry didn’t know if this was directed to me. I have a Java on order. I based the color choice on how it looked on a X5 and then one that a member has in another country. Checking this thread is really making me want this color.
