Another recall coming

In for break-in service. SA told me another recall popped up in their system. A thrust washer on the rear axle anti-roll bar. Have no idea what specifically that is (information was over the phone) but he said, just like the transmission wiring recall, they are waiting for parts. It's not something they are holding the car for. No info as far as a timeline. They will let me know more about it when they know. Just a heads up.

I wonder if this is a way to keep the leases from transferring so they can clear their inventory. A thrust washer.. really?

It wasn't a big deal. They inspect it. If it needs replacing, they replace it. If not, they make sure it's positioned properly and retorque it. It sounded like it only took a few minutes.

Yes, you’re right. I just checked my car’s recalls (via the VIN) with the NHTS site and here’s what I found, although I’m not scheduled for any maintenance issues (I just now went over 3K in miles since I picked her up in mid-July — I don’t drive too much now that I’m retired).

So, thanks OP for the heads-up! Godspeed!!
